Adam Khalifa's Curatorial Choice

It's been great to be physically involved this year. I have been blessed to be surrounded by so much talent. For this reason, my chosen works are those I haven't seen before, in no particular order.

a human weather system by Cian Coleman

I love the energy, balance and dynamic brushstrokes. The fusion between hot and cold, really makes the work pop. The neutral background, tells me the artist is in control.

Queen Charlotte (1744-1818) by Danielle Vaughan

I am familiar with the artist. But this is an incredible piece of work. The precision and the skill to layer the individual stamp this way, makes the subject matter even more thought-provoking.

Introspective by Grace Hamilton

I saw this live, during the installation phase. The photo does not do it justice. Plenty of passion, layers and silky skills. Is it a face? Is it a space? Im not sure. But there is enough in here to leave a trace.

Hidden Gems by Michelle Knight

The chaotic control, and flashes of pink, make it stand out. The open palm hands, make me curious. I dig deeper, I see more layers. My eyes bounce back and forth. How was it made? The more I look, the more I am fascinated by it.

A Quiet Light by Steph Jansen

I am drawn to the colours, and depth. There is definitely something earthy and warmth type of vibes. The threadlike lines, give me comfort.  The eyes loop me into the centre dot. I just noticed a smiling face. I never seen that before
