Sundeep Gill's Curatorial Choice
I have loved being involved this year, curating, judging, and invigilating in the galleries. It has been an exciting opportunity for me to develop my skills and great to be able to connect with other artists, who have been an inspiration, in no particular order, my curatorial choices are...
I wrote a poem in response to Blue Eclipsed by Leavon, as this was how I felt I could best write about it.
Blue Eclipsed by Leavon
Quiet in the deep blue sea
Floating peacefully
Nothing is around
No noise of the town
The water passes through me
I feel so free
Could this all be a dream
Floating in the middle of the deep blue sea
After the War By Patsy Cain
With beautiful textures and layers, the painting takes me to a different world.
A Boy and His Protectors By Chloe Brown
Magical! A vision into a dream fairy tale land that you imagine as a child. Great use of light and dark tones which bring the work to life.
Lost in Nothingness by Leanne Stephens
Vibrant and eye-catching work. Brilliant use of colours. The layers and techniques used work great! The work reminds me of the multiverse.
Chased by Lions by Nathaniel Newell
Incredible detail, the painter is capturing drama, movement, and emotion.
