Adam Khalifa's Curatorial Choice
I have loved being involved again with this year's L.O.V.E. Art, Leicester has so much artistic talent, so in no particular order, my curatorial choices are:
No Name by Katy Smith
The brushstrokes, the unfinished yet finished nature of the work. The slightly exaggerated arm leads your eye to the face. One of the standout pieces in this year's show. And my top pick.
Me & You by Isobel Brigham
I like this piece of work, because of its organic nature. It's obviously a personal piece, but most people can relate to the subject matter. Nice colours and the loose drawing on the left. Add flavour.
Everything is going to be ok by Robin Hardman
The two people in the frame, are life. I like the way it was hung and framed. Just slightly odd. It's a photograph, and a very popular choice, among those that visited the exhibition.
Medium Red by Rhea Pattenden
I was drawn to this piece because of the colours, and the dynamic shape. My mind can only wonder, how this was made. The pictures do not do it justice. Best to see it in person.
Richard and the Tulips by Chloe Bates
So much detail and great balance. Superb use of colours. Just enough detail to make your mind's eye flower. A painting that keeps on giving
